Can the band learn our song for the opening dance?

Yes. We can prepare a specific song for your first dance as well as a second song that is not in our repertoire but that you would particularly like to hear during the evening, subject to musical feasibility.

At what point in the evening does the band perform?

Flying Steamboats usually plays after dinner to kick off the evening's dancing. We can also accompany the cocktail hour and the opening dance, offering a softer first set before ramping up the energy.

How long can you play at a wedding?

We offer a basic 2-hour service that can be adjusted and adapted to the constraints of the venue and the schedule. A DJ can then take over to extend the evening.

Should we plan for a scene?

No. A stage is not required.

A stable, clear space is sufficient to set up the group safely. A space measuring 5 to 6 metres wide by 3 to 4 metres deep is ideal, but we adapt our configuration to the venue (private mansion, castle, reception hall, club, etc.).

Do we need to provide technical equipment?

We can provide sound and lighting equipment. All we need is access to electricity and a suitable space. However, if equipment is already available on site, we can adapt to that (provided it is sufficient).

Please note that for locations more than three hours' drive from Paris, it may be more advantageous for everyone to hire sound and lighting equipment from a local supplier.

How long does installation take?

Ideally, sound setup and balancing should take 2½ hours, but we can adapt depending on the time available.
